Last week we had a really bad rain storm during the day. We couldn't go out and play, but it did launch a bit of wondering about clouds, rain and rainbows. We wrote down what we thought we knew about clouds and rainbows. This tied in beautifully with our new colour and light exploration area. Students have begun exploring the properties of light and why we can see through certain objects but not others. They have also begun to explore prisms and their connection to rainbows. Lastly, we have been reading books in order to learn more! Yesterday, some students were inspired by one of our books on light and made shadow puppets. They even put on a little play!
